# Voice2Sub

> Voice2Sub is a cross-platform desktop application for creating subtitles and speech-to-text transcripts from local video and audio files. It provides Windows x64, macOS Universal and Linux x64 builds, with CUDA acceleration on supported Windows/Linux systems and Metal acceleration on supported Apple Silicon Macs.

Voice2Sub processes imported media primarily on the user's computer. During normal subtitle generation, the desktop app does not upload source audio/video, generated subtitles, transcripts, prompt text, local file names or local file paths to Voice2Sub servers. The website is the official product, documentation and download surface.

Core outputs include SRT, VTT, TXT, LRC and CSV. Multilingual models support recognition in up to 99 spoken languages. Optional English output is unavailable with English-only (.en) and turbo models, and Original + English output uses two recognition passes. AI-generated results should be reviewed before publishing.
